One, two three... people scatter and run off in different directions;
fifty five, fifty six, fifty seven... by now, everyone is hiding and long gone;
ninety eight, ninety nine, one hundred... done, time to search.
No one is with you, making it more difficult to search.
Alone, lonesome, scared - all are causing numerous questions to arise.
Where to go? Will I find anyone? What happens if no one is found? How long will I be alone?
Being "it" couldn't be worse.
The "it" person has always walked alone, felt abandoned and had to go out and search for themselves along with others.
We don't know where to go or how to get there.
Finding others is an unanswered question and will continue to be one.
Time will only tell before the correct person finally shows up, ready to help you move along.
It's all a process learned throughout age.
Being young makes it that much more exciting.
The whole concept of being "it" is new and different.
It only makes the adventure and task of finding those hiding completely thrilling.
When you find someone, the accomplished feeling is satisfied.
Having known this game for awhile takes away from the first time moment.
Older age tends to see this game as no longer fun than that of when they were younger.
Every once in awhile a slight child-like side appears causing the old feelings to return, but only for seconds.
Once its moved on, it's hard to obtain again.
Life itself is fresh and new when we are younger.
Every thing is absolutely incredible, interesting, exciting.
Many tend to see the best in every thing and always light up.
Once life settles in, many lose sight of their child-like ways.
Life sitting upon the older ones can be heavy.
Stress fills up the entire glass.
Rejection, heartbreak, and no love cause many to become dark and hate.
Tasks and work bring a whole new load to the basket.
Everything that was once bright, now became so dark.
The life of the old only reverts you back to being "it."
Everyone is hiding from you.
You walk and search alone.
Searching for everyone is hard, and sometimes they don't want to be found.
Some might altogether leave and never return.
That one moment when you finally find someone, the light shines through.
You feel again.
Patience and time has brought you the best.
You are no longer alone in the walk.
So, have you guessed it? Do you know what game i'm referring to?
Hide and Seek.
Hide and Seek has a huge resemblance to life.
At times, we walk by ourselves, looking.
Time then will only bring us back to who we are.
Once we find ourselves, we find the help of another.
With the other, they make things easier.
From there on, our life is back to normal.
In the end, we always solve our own problems
but along the way, we might get help and advice from others
to lead us to that correct decision. - Me
So the next time you play hide and seek, think of this:
we all are alone at one point, but know that you will find someone, its all just a matter of time.
